The shirt is incredibly soft, but has a perfect weight that holds its shape. The hoodie is breathable, so it is perfect for warm summer afternoons, but has some beef to it, so it also works very well as a layering piece in the fall and spring. As an added bonus, the hoodie has UPF 50 characteristics woven into the fibers, which aid in sun protection.
